Las Eras is an exciting dive site located on the southeast coast of Tenerife, known for its unique underwater landscape and diverse marine life. The site is sheltered by a wave breaker made of concrete blocks, ensuring an easy and pleasant entry into the water from the black volcanic beach, regardless of the weather conditions.
The dive site features a prominent wall that offers protection against currents in open areas. If currents are present, divers can stay close to the wall for a calm experience. The underwater topography includes a 10-meter-long swim-through where many trumpetfish can be seen hovering inside. As divers venture further from the wall into deeper sections, they may encounter schools of barracuda, breams, and other fish species. Rays are often spotted in the sandy areas at the edge of the reef among garden eels.
Las Eras is teeming with marine life, including schools of barracuda, giant pufferfish, and gray triggerfish. Divers may also come across Canarian lobsters and moray eels hiding among the rocky crevices. A unique feature of this dive site is the statue of Buddha, located on a shelf within the wall, adding an intriguing element to the dive experience. The diverse ecosystem and vibrant marine life make Las Eras a good dive for everyone.
