El Balito is a dive site situated on Tenerife’s west coast, within an old banana port. The site offers easy water access via a ladder. An off road leads to the dive site, offering stunning coastal views along the way. This location is popular for its blend of accessibility, calm waters, and natural beauty.
El Balito’s underwater landscape is primarily defined by rugged rock formations and caverns. The three caverns, located in shallow waters up to 10 meters deep, are a key highlight of the dive. Further out, the site opens to depths beyond 30 meters, catering to advanced divers. Several swim-throughs and natural arches enhance the underwater exploration.
El Balito hosts a variety of marine species, where you can encounter schools of barracuda. Trumpetfish, breams, and other common reef fish found in Tenerife are frequently spotted during dives. The caverns and rocky crevices provide shelter for lobsters, crabs, shrimps, moray eels, and scorpionfish, enhancing the area's rich biodiversity.
